Control range is limited by the modem's own output. At long distance or in heavy interference, ground antennas alone cannot close the link.

Booster SubGHz
RF power amplifier
10 W of link margin for the control channel
The booster adds 19 dB of gain to the NV/5 ground unit, up to 10 W output, in an enclosure that keeps the amplifier's own emissions away from the receivers next to it.
Link margin for the ground station
Booster SubGHz is a power amplifier for the NV/5 control link. Installed in the ground station between the modem and the antenna, it raises the transmitted power to 10 W and gives the uplink the margin to reach an aircraft at the far end of the video range, or one flying in an environment where the noise floor has been raised on purpose.
The amplifier is built into a milled aluminium enclosure with SMA input and output. The shielding matters: the booster sits centimetres from sensitive receivers, and its housing keeps its own emissions where they belong.
The booster is matched to the NV/5 bands (433 and 868 MHz). It is a ground-station accessory by default; airborne use is possible on platforms with the power budget.
